Thanks to everyone who brought cuttings to propagate and share – we had quite a few varieties. It’s always fun to get a new plant from a fellow gardener. We hope all the many cutting grow strong and tall with bountiful flowers. Hydrangeas are among our most beautiful flowering shrubs.
Just a few of the plants that will be available at the sale from Dot’s Herb Group. They are already at 1,000+ pots and counting!
They also had help from the Bill Bowker, Tom Powlas, & Bill Louis construction team. They deserve lots of thanks from us as well. They put up hoop houses with plastic sheeting over all the shelves and roofing panels on the sides to keep the plants alive in case of power outages. Thank goodness it hasn’t been needed yet.
This crew works hard and has so much fun. Growing new plants, trying new things, deciding what to try next…..all part of the good times ~ come join us! Check the calendar for scheduled open greenhouse days.
Open days scheduled for Sunday January 3rd from 1 to 3 pm & Thursday January 7th from 11 am to noon at the Montgomery Bell Greenhouse (members only please). Both days are forecast to be mild and pleasant.
We will work on various tasks and discuss future plans.
Any members who show up on Sunday will be treated to a funny horticultural story.
Don’t forget the January 1st Hike at Montgomery Bell Park to start the New Year off right!
Be sure to check the calendar as new events are added or changed.
Massive cleanup and spruce up of Gardening Partners Greenhouse in May 2015. Getting ready for a remodel! Thanks to everyone who came out to help haul away trash and get us ready to move forward. Shirley Walker volunteered to paint and did a great job!
