Introducing our New Hospitality Chair

~ Sue Catchings

Sue Catchings grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. After retiring from helping families at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, she and her husband, John, relocated to White Bluff, TN in 2015  to be in the beautiful hills and scenic Dickson County where she could paint, take photographs and garden. In the last 2 years, through Rosemary and Mark Chamberlain, she has developed a growing passion for  Bluebirds and is a member in the TN Bluebird Society and the North American Bluebird Society. She holds a degree in Art and English from David Lipscomb University.  When not giving private art instruction, gardening or photographing birds, she is either painting in her studio at Birdsong Hill or out painting with the The Chestnut Group, “Plein Air Painters for the Land”,  a group of artists who paint outdoors to raise money for protected and endangered lands.  She has a grown daughter and son and one  granddaughter.
