A Day at New Johnsonville State Park
by Mary Mattocks
I was able to attend a clean-up day at New Johnsonville State Park. There were around 12 volunteers that morning to work with Ranger Bob Holladay, who is very happy with all that was accomplished that morning. It gave me a renewed interest in the park that we used to take our children to and picnic there. Although I haven’t been there in several years, it was interesting to hear Ranger Bob tell of the old Johnsonville during the Civil War. They now have a Visitor Center with old artifacts from the past that I’m sure many of you would enjoy. Here are some pictures of the work day and of the park that I thought some of you may enjoy seeing.
